Laser-cut anodized aluminum, folded and assembled by hand 

Chilean design studio gt2P (Great Things to People) presents Shhh the Hope Keeper, an interactive work that creates room for hope in everyday life. The three-dimensional mural is designed to hold visitors’ hopes, dreams, and intentions. You are invited to anonymously write a wish for the future of our planet and place it within one of its many cells, contributing to a growing collective archive of hope.

The work’s form is inspired by colonies of picorocos—barnacle-like crustaceans found along the Chilean coast that cluster together on rocks and marine life. This organic structure reflects the designers’ childhood memories of the sea as a place of curiosity, imagination, and possibility, where even the simplest moments held an almost boundless sense of hope.

Constructed from laser-cut anodized aluminum, the work distills the complexity of natural forms into a simple geometric system. Every fold and joint is digitally designed to be assembled by hand, making the process of fabrication an integral part of the work’s expression. Completed through the participation of visitors, it demonstrates how design can create spaces for reflection, connection, and collective imagination. Together, the object and the hopes it holds become an expression of care—a reminder that the futures we imagine must be created together.
