Swedish designer Kajsa Willner investigates new uses for industrial waste, often drawing inspiration from natural phenomena. Rooted in a deep respect for the environment, her work challenges conventional ideas of value by transforming discarded materials into objects of beauty.
Willner’s handmade Craft Punk pieces are composed of off-cut wood sourced from local carpenters, construction firms, and Danish flooring manufacturer Dinesen. Guided by the distinct characteristics of each fragment, her intuitive process reimagines overlooked materials as sculptural works that reveal their inherent qualities. The resulting forms evoke the majesty of the natural world—from glaciers to clouds and beyond—bringing a sense of ecological wonder into the domestic realm.
