WAYS OF SEEING

2026 Glass

Lebanese-Polish designer Tara Sakhi has created a series of unique glassworks conceived as a call for care—for both our planet and all who inhabit it. Comprising three glass relics, expertly crafted in collaboration with Venetian master glassmakers, alongside a collection of magnifying lenses sourced from markets in Venice (where the designer presently resides), the interactive installation invites visitors to examine these planet-like forms inspired by Earth’s wonder, beauty, and fragility.

The works evoke the thin, delicate atmospheric layer that surrounds and protects our planet—an image that has long inspired awe in astronauts looking back at Earth from space—while also revealing, upon closer inspection, the rich magic that exists within our world. At a time when attention and care can feel increasingly scarce, these pieces serve as a reminder of both the extraordinary wonder and delicate vulnerability of our planet, as well as the inherent dignity of all who call it home. By encouraging visitors to slow down and look carefully, Sakhi invites reflection on our shared responsibility to care for the Earth and for one another.

“To look and look again—to observe, to wonder, to take our time: care begins with attention, and attention, right now, is a necessity.”
— Tara Sakhi
